Direct Thermal Printing

Direct Thermal Technology uses digital printing by selectively heating coated thermochromic paper over the thermal print head.

To enable the printing of the information, the following hardware is needed:
  • Thermal Head
  • Platen (Rubber Roller)
  • Spring
  • Thermal Paper

Thermal Transfer Printing

Thermal Transfer Technology employs digital printing by melting a coating of Carbon Ribbon, which sticks to the base material and on top of which the print is applied.

To enable the printing of the information, the following hardware is needed:
  • Non-movable Print Head
  • Carbon Ribbon (Ink)
  • Substrate to be printed

Print and Apply

Print and Apply Technology uses semi-automatic Label printer applicators (basic robots) to automate printing and applying of pressure-sensitive labels onto products.

To enable the printing and applying of the information, the following hardware is needed:
  • Print Engine
  • Applicator
  • Media
