Barcode

Barcode Technology uses optical, machine-readable symbols to encode information regarding the object.

Types of Barcode:
  • Linear or one-dimensional (1D)
  • Two-dimensional (2D)
To enable the printing and reading of the encoded information, the following hardware is needed:
  • Industrial Label
  • Industrial Ribbon
  • Printers
  • Labelling Systems
  • Marking Systems
  • Barcode Scanners
  • Mobile Computers
  • Tablets
  • Kiosks

RFID

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology uses a tag with electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and detect electronically-stored information regarding the objects

Types of RFID Tags:
  • Active - The tags have a local power source and can operate hundreds of meters from the RFID reader
  • Passive - The tags do not have their own power but collect energy from the RFID antennas radio waves
To enable the tagging and collection of the encoded information, the following hardware is needed:
  • RFID Tag
  • RFID Handheld
  • Fixed RFID Reader
  • RFID Reader Antenna
  • RFID Printer

Machine Vision

Machine Vision Technology uses digital sensors inside industrial cameras to capture, process, analyze images for data collection, identification, inspection, process control, etc.

Types of Vision Systems:
  • 1D Vision Systems
  • 2D Vision Systems
  • Area Scan vs. Line Scan
  • 3D Vision Systems
To enable the capturing and collection of the encoded information, the following hardware is needed:
  • Light
  • Lense
  • Vision Processor
  • Image Sensor

Wireless

Wireless Technology uses a wireless computer network to link and share information between two or more devices

Types of Wireless:
  • Infrastructure
  • Peer-to-peer
  • Bridge
  • Wireless distribution system
To enable the connection and exchange of the encoded information, the following hardware is needed:
  • Internet connectivity
  • Router
  • Access Points

Real time Locationing Systems

Real Time Locationing Technology uses wireless tags which transmit wireless signals to identify and track the location of objects in real time.

To enable the identification and tracking of the objects, the following hardware is used:
  • Active RFID Tag
  • Locator
  • Repeater
  • Access Points

Temperature Sensing

Temperature Sensing uses a smart temperature tracking barcode capable of measuring the surface temperature using a temperature sensor that is able to digitally monitor and transmit the data to ensure constant temperature control and immediate corrective actions in case of deviation.

To enable the identification and tracking of the objects, the following hardware is used:
  • Temperature Barcode
  • Near Field
  • Mobility Device
